The M2 ATI Stretch-Air Wheelchair Cushion by Permobil comes in a wide range of sizes and styles to meet the multiple and diverse needs of wheelchair users. Suitable for both short- and long-term seating, the M2 ATI wheelchair cushion is especially ideal for helping users achieve pelvic stability and lower extremity positioning through moderate contour.
The cushion's unique Adjustable Technology Insert (ATI) base facilitates on-site customization to fulfill the evolving needs of every user. It provides exceptional positioning support while creating a perfectly contoured fit. Completely moldable to meet changes in both functional and physical needs, the dynamic ATI base is joined by a molded foam base, dual-density foam, and a Quadra3D Gel pack to optimize comfort and help prevent pressure injuries. The cushion is composed of four separate compartments of Quadra3D Gel that evenly redistributes pressure and regulates body temperature for ultimate comfort and accommodation. Tapered adductors provide support to the greater trochanters, while deep medial and lateral leg contours promote postural alignment. The coccyx relief cutout mitigates tailbone and spine pressure, which is especially helpful for long-term seating comfort and pressure sore prevention.
The M2 ATI cushion is available in three style options: Zero Elevation, Wedge, and Anti-Thrust. Choose Zero Elevation to facilitate greater freedom of movement for standard positioning needs. The Wedge adds slight anterior height to more effectively control forward-leaning, while the Anti-Thrust provides anterior pelvic buildup to prevent forward migration in the seat.
The cushion features Permobil's proprietary Stretch-Air cover. The cover is breathable, airy, and latex-free. Its fabric has remarkable multidirectional stretch that effectively relieves pressure, dissipates heat, and enables the user to reap the full benefits of the cushion. There is an upgraded option for the cushion cover that incorporates GlideWear. The GlideWear fabric is adapted from leading prosthetics technology that helps to promote healing and reduce pressure injury risks through the use of a Shear Reduction Zone. It's completely breathable for improved microclimate control and helps protect the skin from harmful shear and friction properties. The non-skid base fabric has hook-and-loop attachments to keep the cushion in place on the wheelchair. Utilized by wheelchair users of all ages and sizes, the M2 ATI is often used in VA hospitals, long-term care facilities, and schools.
