The Support Pro Wheelchair Cushions by Comfort Company is a line of revolutionary seating aids that are available in three unique designs. Each seat support uses Kwik strap loops to secure the cushion to any seat, chair, or wheelchair. The straps are intended to keep the cushion in the same position every time you or the patient stands up or sits down. All Support Pro seat aids have a cut-out region in the rear to take the pressure off of the rear. This makes sure your coccyx is supported, breathable, and ergonomically comfortable.
The design also features front edges that are curved in a waterfall-like shape that completely removes pesky pressure points on the thighs and legs. The Moleculon foam inner filling is a coveted new material from Comfort Company that reimagines comfort, enhances breathability, and redistributes pressure to prevent aches and pain.
All models and sizes are available to be equipped with an abductor pommel. This abductor addition is incredibly beneficial at keeping the legs from turning inwards and becoming improperly aligned. It also prevents hip rotation. An optional addition to all of the Support Pro models is the Quadragel Pack. This light blue form-fitting gel liner controls body temperature and repositions pressure. This additional feature prevents pressures sores and ulcers.
The
Zero Elevation cushion is a standard seat cushion with a uniform height throughout the device. This provides equal support throughout the chair cushion with no raised edges or abductors. This is ideal for someone looking for a simple means to maximize comfort throughout the day.
The
Wedge model of Support Pro cushion has a front height that is double that of the back. The front height is 4-inches while the rear height is 2-inches. This prevents the occupant from sliding forward. It is ideal for those in search of a seat cushion that utilizes pressure reducing comfort and simple fall prevention physics. By keeping the patient or loved one sitting at a backward angle they are highly unlikely to slip or rock forward.
The final model is the
Anti-Thrust unit within the Support Pro series of wheelchair cushions. This design uses an elevated front section like that of a plateaued environment. The elevated front prevents the hips from pushing forward and sliding on top of the seat cushion. The lowered section where the patients butt comes in contact holds the region in place so the lower body does not slouch or sink forward. The overall design encourages better posture and keeps the occupant in place.
The
Incontinence Liner is removable and machine washable on any water temperature. It is also able to be tumble dried on low heat only. It is recommended to air dry.
