Its nine air compartments are adjustable to perfectly conform to every user's unique specifications. It effectively redistributes pressure to help create an ischial well while simultaneously providing greater trochanter support with lateral stability. This cushion is often utilized in the treatment and prevention of pressure wounds and ulcers.
The front compartments of the cushion help guide and align the thighs, allowing for customizable support and stability. Improving immersion, the innovative solid-shape design ensures the cushion will retain its shape and volume, enabling dependable support and skin protection. There are two cover options for this ultra-stable wheelchair cushion:
Comfair and
Incotec.
Comfair is formulated with a breathable, multidimensional-stretch material that has small pleats at the back of the cushion, facilitating better immersion and envelopment for the user within the seat. Specially designed for heat dissipation and air transmission to enhance microclimate control, the Comfair cover also highlights a zip-pull that simplifies opening and closing. Its anti-slip bottom and hook-and-loop straps keep the cushion in place on the wheelchair.
The
Incotec cover is specially constructed for incontinence, as it offers exceptional resistance to fluids and prevents moisture from permeating the cushion. Its also useful for other situations, such as swimming, camping, and anywhere the cushion may come into contact with moisture. Certain sizes of the Incotec cover also offer the additional option of a Kwik-Strap that keeps the cushion in place on the wheelchair. It's important to note that using an Incotec cover will reduce some of the moisture and temperature-regulating qualities of the Vicair Vector O2 cushion.
Both covers are completely machine-washable, and come with a metal eyelet located on the back which is used for attachment to the chair.
