The Acta-Embrace cushion's unique moldable Adjustable Technology Insert (ATI) facilitates on-site customization, meeting changes in both the physical and functional needs of the user. Its dynamic input allows for user movement while providing adjustable positioning support. The contoured molded base foam combined with a layer of memory foam provides unparalleled comfort and skin protection. Postural alignment is assisted with deep lateral and medial leg contours. Tapered leg adductors increase in width toward the rear of the cushion, supporting the greater trochanters. There are two cushion styles: Anti-Thrust or Zero Elevation. The Anti-Thrust cushion is configured to prevent forward migration by providing anterior pelvic build-up, while the Zero Elevation style facilitates a wider range of movement for standard positioning challenges.

This wheelchair cushion's proprietary Stretch-Air cover effectively dissipates heat, effectively enhancing comfort. It highlights a multi-directional stretch to further relieve pressure. This cushion cover is breathable and airy; it's also latex-free. Both cushions are offered with Permobil's proprietary GlideWear for an additional fee. How do I know what size cushion I need to order for my wheelchair?

Answer: The cushion foam needs to be replaced if it is soiled. If it is just a small mess, it can be wiped lightly with a damp cloth and dried. The cover should be used to protect the cushion from damage, and it can be cleaned by hand washing in warm soapy water, rinsed with clean water, and dried, or washed and dried in the washing machine/dryer on gentle settings.
