Amara cushions feature positioning contour that has a slight abductor pommel in the front of the cushion to prevent sliding forward in the seat. The lightweight cushion has a low profile design for easy positioning and to ensure the patient does not lose the ability to foot propel themselves.
The cover is constructed of Vyvex-III multi-directional stretch fabric. The fabric aids in the prevention of skin breakdown by wicking away moisture from the patients skin. The fabric is fluid-resistant to help protect the cushion from absorbing sweat or incontinence accidents to maintain the integrity of the cushion. The non-skid bottom prevents the cushion from shifting. The cushion is equipped with an adjustable safety strap on the back of the cushion to attach to the wheelchair to keep the cushion in place as patients are transferred in and out of the wheelchair. The cover is anti-microbial and meets California Technical Bulletin #117 for fire-retardancy.
