The ADA Compliant Side-Mounted Folding Shower Bench is an essential piece of bathroom safety equipment specially designed to help weak, elderly, or disabled individuals minimize their risk of slipping or falling in the bathtub while bathing. The shower bench seat is professionally installed into a wall backing with a height between 17-19-inches and is constructed with a stainless steel frame that can support a 500-pound weight capacity. The 29-inch wide by 15-inch deep bench will sit 4.5-inches above the tub height to allow the bather to use a hand-held shower head to safely clean and bathe themselves without fear of falling, thus maintaining their ability to bathe independently.

When not in use, the shower bench will easily fold up snugly against the wall for total water drainage and to save space. The shower bench is available in two separate yet equally effective benchtops. The options are either a padded Naugahyde top that is seam-sealed to prevent penetration of bacteria and moisture, or a Phenolic resin top that forms a solid surface composite panel. The Phenolic benchtops are available in the colors white, teak, and white solid while the Naugahyde benchtop is available in white.
