Shower Bench Information
The Shower Bench from TeakWorks4U features beautiful Teak wood. Sturdy construction includes marine grade stainless steel screws combined with waterproof wood glue to ensure bench longevity, even in moist environments, such as a shower or steam room. The wood color help to pull in a natural feel and blend into any decor.
The bench requires minimal assembly with only a screwdriver and pliers (not included). A removable shelf runs along the bottom for easy and convenient storage for bathing supplies, towels, etc.
Teak Wood Benefits
The trees have been used in ship making for years because of the wood's inclination to bend, rather than break. This combined with the silica the trees take in from being in a sandy environment creates a natural slip-resistant texture.
Natural oils from the heartwood provide the Teak a beautiful shine without varnish or shine. This also makes the wood resistant to mold and mildew growth.
Because of the natural wood, the color varies. This gives a completely unique and beautiful product. See the chart below for a sample variance.
Maintanence and Care
Teak wood is easy to maintain the vivid shine and natural qualities, but soap build-up can happen through use. When this occurs, the bench can be washed gently with a soft-bristle brush and mild soap mixture and rinse. The wood should then air dry.
