Teak Bath Seat
The Teak Bath Seat helps to make bathtubs ADA compliant. The Seat can be used as an aid in bathing, to set a book upon during a bath, and more. Adjustable clamps sit over the edge of the tub and a non-slip leg folds down to provide safety and security. The fold-up legs allow for easy transportation and storage.
The slatted wood top is comfortably spaced for the skin with enough room to allow water to drain. High-quality materials like stainless steel screws and frame and waterproof wood glue ensure that the Teak Bath Bench will be secure and helpful for years to come.
Benefits of Using Teak Wood
The wood used for the Teak Bathtub Seat comes from the interior heartwood of the Teak tree. This wood is not only the hardest of the tree but produces a vivid and even coloring. The heartwood also produces an oil that coats the wood, providing a shine and also protecting it from water damage, mold, mildew, and bacteria.
The Teak trees grow in sandy soil and intake silica through the roots. This silica-rich wood becomes naturally slip-resistant. The sanded down Teak Bathtub Seat still holds this quality while still remaining smooth to the touch.
Variations in color occur naturally since no two trees are identical. This creates a beautiful and natural product for your home. See below for a chart showing color variations that could occur.
Maintenance
Teak wood has many natural benefits that make it easy to maintain, but since the Teak Bath Seat is near water and soap, some product build-up may occur and the shine may become cloudy. When this happens, use a soft-bristled brush, soap mixture, and water to gently wash. Then simply rinse and allow the Bath Seat to air dry to restore sheen.
