ADA compliant, the Bathtub Bench is constructed with a stainless steel frame that supports up to 250 pounds. Using the ADA Compliant Bathtub Bench allows the user to sit on the bench and then lift one leg at a time over the bathtub wall, making bathtub transfers safe and easy. Perfect for use in home, nursing home, hospital, and rehabilitation facilities, the Bathtub Bench offers seam-sealed protection against moisture and bacteria. Choose from a phenolic or a padded naugahyde top. We recommend consulting a contractor prior to installation. Please allow a lead time of 2-3 weeks.

The ADA Compliant Bathtub Bench is made with a stainless steel frame that holds up to 250 lbs. When not in use, the ADA compliant bench easily folds up and out of the way.

Operating the ADA Compliant Bathtub Bench
The ADA Compliant Bathtub Bench's seat is held in a raised position by a tension rod placed in the rear crossmember. When the seat is lowered into the down position, it must rest securely on the tub dam for support. Using the ADA Compliant Bathtub Bench makes stepping in and out of the bathtub safer. Instead, the user can sit down on the bench outside of the tub, then slide over safely into the tub.One leg at a time can be lifted over the tub wall. A hand-held shower can be used so that the user can remain in a seated position while bathing.

Installing the ADA Compliant Bathtub Bench
To install, lay the seat in a flat resting position on both sides of the tub. Set the hinge flat against the tub wall and mark the hole. Make sure that the bottom of the hinge rests on the tub surface for support. Suitable fasteners and sufficient in-wall backing materials should be used.
