The Foam Arm Support for Hand Elevation is made to provide comfort to the user by allowing his injured, weakened, or postoperative arm or hand to be placed in a medically correct position above the user's heart that aids fluid return and decreases edema.
Designed to be placed on a tabletop, lapboard, or bed, the dense, open-celled foam rubber support will maintain the user's forearm in a trough and the hand at an elevation 5" above the flat surface the user is using. The contoured design and the firm yet soft foam will allow the user's shoulder, arm, and hand to rest in a natural position, keeping undo weight off of the joints and muscles while keeping the hand above the level of the heart to help enhance healing and comfort to the user while sitting or in a prone position.
The 20" long by 5 1/2" wide arm support can be used for a variety of situations in a medical facility, an elderly care facility, adult care facility, or at home and is ideal to comfortably position an injured arm or hand for individuals with poor muscle tone, as well as helping to aid those with flaccid upper extremities after suffering from a stroke.
