This Elevating Arm Support by Skil-Care provides the necessary support and stability to ensure a quick and less painful recovery to the injured limb. It features a recessed cavity that keeps the injured limb from being unnecessarily moved. By elevating the injured limb, excess fluid will drain back into the non-elevated portion of the body via gravity which in turn will reduce swelling and pain. The foam positioner can fit either the left or right arm and can be placed on any leveled surface such as a bed, table, or one of Skil-Care's wheelchair arm trays.
An optional Cozy Cloth armrest cover is also available for purchase which minimizes skin friction, sweating, and adds additional comfort to the user. It also helps protect the cushion from anything that can dirty the armrest. The cover can be laundered at temperatures up to 180F(82C) but should not be bleached.
