The AL160 Profile Outside Power Scooter Carrier features a streamlined design with an open platform and a simpler, smaller silhouette. Weighing just 74 lbs. installed, the mobility scooter carrier's understated design permits greater visibility out of the vehicle's rear view mirror both when in use and also when folded. The Profile Outside Power Scooter Carrier accommodates almost any scooter weighing up to 350 lbs. It fits virtually all 3-wheel scooters with a wheelbase between 30" and 42" and virtually all 4-wheel scooters with up to a 42" wheelbase. The Profile Outside Power Carrier secures with a simple-to-use automatic hold-down foot and requires no modifications. A license plate holder is included with the scooter carrier for car, SUV, or minivan. Choose from optional compatible mobility scooter carrier accessories such as a Battery Pack, Swing-Away, or Scooter Cover.
Operating The Profile Outside Power Scooter Carrier
Loading the Scooter
Insert the key and switch to the 'On' position. Press 'Down' on the toggle switch. The platform will unfold. Continue to lower until the platform reaches the ground and becomes level. Slowly drive the mobility scooter onto the platform. Stop when the drive wheels fall between the platform bars. Secure the chair with the hold-down foot. Use the 'Up" toggle switch to raise the carrier. Stop when it reaches the top of travel. You will hear the clutch sound. Twist the key to remove.
Unloading the Scooter
Insert the key and switch to 'On' position. Press 'Down' to lower the carrier. Drive the chair off the platform carefully. When the chair is unloaded press 'Up' and the platform will automatically unfold.
Manual Override
In the event of a power failure, for example if your car battery dies, your scooter carrier can still operate using the Manual Override System. Simply unplug the power to the carrier, remove the cap on the top of the motor cover using a coin or key, and insert a 3/8" socket wrench into the actuator. Rotate the hex shaft, turning counter-clockwise to lower the platform and clockwise to raise the platform.

Battery Pack
This light and effective power source is compatible with the Profile Outside Power Carrier. The Battery Pack eliminates the need to hardwire your carrier to the car battery. It can also be used to augment or supplement use of the vehicle's battery. The scooter carrier accessory uses an intuitive design that is easy to read, has a clean look, and can charge in the vehicle's cigarette lighter. Battery charging lights make it easy to see the battery power levels available in the Battery Pack.

AL105 Swing-Away
The Swing-Away allows you to easily swing the installed and unoccupied auto carrier away from the back of the vehicle for convenient access to the trunk, tailgate or lift gate. To open the Swing-Away, simply remove the safety pin and pull the T-Handle. Close the Swing-Away just as you would a car door. Please verify vehicle compatibility before placing order. Choose from 350 lb or 400 lb Swing Away Options.
Vehicle Hitch Adapters
The Profile Outside Power Carrier uses a Class 1 hitch. The vehicle should be wired with a standard 4 connector trailer wiring. Hitch Adapters plug into the vehicle's trailer hitch and serves as the interface between the carrier and vehicle.
We recommend having a professional install the carrier, configure the docking device, and instruct the user on correct operation as well as establish a safety and maintenance schedule.
