The Med-Aire Plus Mattress features a cycling pressure system across 20 air bladders. This rolling pressure helps maximize comfort for a user while reducing the chances of pressure ulcers. Made from a durable Nylon blend that is soft to the touch, the 8 inch deep bladders each are part of the cell-on-cell design, which prevents the bed from bottoming out in the event that power is lost to the mattress. To keep these cells secure, and help prevent catching or tugging when a user is transferred onto or off of the mattress, the Med-Aire features a secure, 10 inch deep, perimeter lining air cell. This prevents kinks, maintains air flow, and provides a stable structure for the mattress cells to operate within.

This mattress system is powered by a whisper-quiet motor which features a bright LED interface and audible alarms to inform you if there is any loss in pressure. The motor can reach up to 8 Liters per Minute of airflow and guarantees an even, alternating pressure. The system includes a CPR valve. In the event that a user requires rapid medical attention, namely CPR, this valve can be released, allowing the mattress to rapidly deflate and providing caregivers and medical professionals a flat surface to administer aid.
