Lumex Alternating Pressure Mattress System

The Lumex Alternating Pressure Mattress system uses low air loss technology to provide pressure management to treat and prevent pressure ulcers without sacrificing the patient½s comfort. The outer cover of the mattress is fully zippered and quilted material for optimum comfort for the patient. It is a specialized mattress replacement unit that is packed full of different settings to be run on such as a 2:1 alternating operation that provides active pressure relief for patients who are long-term bedridden. The 2:1 alternation means that the cells inflate and deflate in a 2:1 cycle resulting in half of the body always being supported at any given time. This system also offers a cell on cell therapy in which the air cell is split in two, and the bottom cells are inflated as the upper cells are completely deflated, providing extra protection and comfort. The alternation setting can easily be adjusted between 10, 15, and 20 minutes. Another function is the static function that provides a continuous inflation and just provides low air loss therapy. Additionally, there are 5 different comfort settings and an auto-firm feature.

If there are any low pressure failures detected throughout the system, an audio alarm will sound so you know maintenance is required. The alarm can be temporarily muted for 20 minutes by resetting the alarm on the front panel. The control unit is easily mounted to the foot board of the bed for convenient adjustments for the caregiver. Plus, there is a quick release CPR valve if the bed requires urgent deflation. The mattress system can support up to 450 pounds when evenly distributed.
