K-4oem AIRE-FLOAT Alternating Pressure LAL System includes an easy-to-use, lightweight control unit to power the mattress system. The control unit features a single high airflow blower. It is a micro-controller with Real Time Pressure Monitoring sensor technology to ensure patient comfort throughout use. The software permits customized changes to pressure, time, and function. User operates the control unit via easy-to-use control panel, which is designed with domed keys and LED display. This displays current mode, A/P times, and patient comfort pressure level Soft 0 to Firm 9. With this unit, mattresses take 15 - 50 seconds to inflate. It provides either static or alternating pressure therapy along with the true LAL relief. A lock out key is also built in to make sure patients to not tamper with the settings or power switch.
The surface of the K-4oem AIRE-FLOAT Alternating Pressure LAL System's mattress is constructed with a therapeutic support surface that is made with urethane-coated nylon cushions. The cushion design comes in a 16-cell per overlay or 16/20 cell per mattress design. Each mattress system has five pressure zones, with a head section that doesn't alternate. The tops of the mattresses are both low-friction and low-shear, which help reduce irritation and discomfort. All components of the system like the manifold, tubing, cushions, top sheet, and foam base, can be changed out and easily taken off/apart to be cleaned.
Before inflating the mattress, make sure the CPR, bolsters, and/or air pad plugs are connected to ensure proper inflation.
There are multiple designs to fit a patient's needs including an overlay, standard mattress, side bolstered, and bariatric options. The Overlay Mattress System should be placed on top of an already existing foam mattress that is 3 - 5 inches thick. For the Side Bolster option, the bolsters can be quickly inflated or deflated to assist a patient with getting in and out of bed or for procedures.
When not in use, the support surface rolls up and has two handles or shoulder straps. Make sure to turn off the unit and unplug the power cord. Keep it in a dry place, and wrap the cord around the control unit and put it in a plastic bag to keep it dust and debris free.
Keep the filter clean to prevent clogs.
Do NOT heat, steam autoclave, or immerse the control unit in liquids
