K-1oem Alternating Pressure Foam Air Mattress System's control panel, which is on the face of the control unit, features keys and 7-segment LED display for easy usability. The panel displays current mode, A/P times, and comfort pressure level (Soft 0 to Firm 9). Once comfort level pressure has been reached, the micro-controller shuts off the pump, and it remains off most of the time. The single-flow air pump emits approximately 42 -52 LPM. A built-in lockout key ensures a patient will not being able to tamper with the settings or power switch. The control unit is lightweight, compact, and quiet for a multitude of settings.
The Smart Support Surface (tm) of the K-1oem Alternating Pressure Foam Air Mattress System forms the top-sheet of the mattress system. It provides therapeutic support with urethane-coated nylon air cushions. These cushions provide effective A/P therapy with low interface pressures. All of the mattress components, including the manifold, tubing assembly, air cushions, top sheet, and foam base can be easily changed or cleaned. The FOAM AIRE mattress is built with Kevlar lining, multi-ply visco foam top layer, and hard perimeter bolster for added safety and comfort.
To use the FOAM AIRE mattress, simply unroll it and put it on the bed frame. This mattress can be used as non-powered or powered, depending on the patient's needs. For the powered option, connect the control unit to the mattress with the hose assembly. For the non-powered option, connect the control unit and inflate the mattress to setting 5. Once the unit stops, disconnect the hose assembly from the mattress and store the control unit is a safe, dry place.
For CPR use, look for the DEFLATE label. Disconnect the hose from the control unit while pushing the quick-release connectors.
