The K-0oem ECO-AIRE Alternating Pressure System has the options of a cell overlay system, mattress systems, with an 8-inch option, and a raised-side bolster system. The overlay system is constructed with high-quality material and modular design for comfort. It is designed to lie on top of a mattress that is already in place. With its sturdy design, the overlay can hold up to 450 lbs.

The mattress systems make an ideal addition to any setting where a pressure mattress may be needed. The basic design comes without bolsters for patients who do not needed to be contained by bolsters. There is, however, the option to choose a mattress with side bolsters to help keep a patient on the mattress if they have a tendency to move or roll. These bolsters can be inflated and deflated to assist a patient with getting in and out of a bed. They also make it easy to perform necessary procedures. The surface of the overlay and mattresses is designed with urethane-coated, nylon air cushions. This design provides effective therapy with low-interface pressures. Because of the material, all of the systems can be easily cleaned. The mattresses and bolster system can hold up to 450 lbs.

The control unit for the K-0oem ECO-AIRE Alternating Pressure System is user-friendly and uncomplicated. It is a single-flow air pump (8-12 LPM), with a micro-controller. It displays current mode, A/P times, and comfort pressure (Soft 0 to Firm 9). There is also a lock-out key to eliminate the possibility of a patient tampering with the system's settings. The internal memory of the control unit always retains current settings, which is helpful in the case of a power outage. It has a built in connector for emergency CPR procedures, which can rapidly inflate or deflate. If the unit is not being used, turn it off and disconnect the power cord. Make sure to store it in a protective bag or cover to keep off debris and dust.

Components such as manifold, tubing, air cushions, top sheet, and foam base can be detached for laundry to keep the system clean for patient use.
