K-0 ECO-ZONE Alternating Pressure LAL System is designed with an auto-sensing, multi-use control unit. It pumps 8 - 12 liters per minute to ensure patient's comfort and stability. Easy-to-use software enables caregiver to make changes to pressure, time, and function. The control panel on the unit is extremely simple to navigate. It features dome keys and LED display. This panel shows current mode, A/P times, and patient comfort level (Soft 0 to Firm 9). Once the goal pressure has been reached, the pump automatically shuts off via the micro-controller. On-Demand LAL can be switch off/on. When it is on, the system provides a patient with continuous LAL relief, along with static or alternating pressure. There is also a built-in lock out key to prevent a patient from tampering with or accidentally knocking the settings and power switch. The control unit is lightweight, compact, and quiet for easy, everyday use.
Do not heat, steam autoclave, or immerse the control unit in liquids.
The Smart Support Surface (tm) of the K-0 ECO-ZONE Alternating Pressure, with On-Demand LAL System features a high-quality, durable surface made with urethane-coated nylon cushions. These cushions are arranged 16/20 cell per mattress. The option of mattress with side bolsters provide consistent air pressure to help contain a patient on the mattress if the patient has a tendency to roll or move. A top-layer sheet is made with a low-friction, low-shear material to help maintain comfort and reduce irritation.
To use the K-0 ECO-ZONE mattress, unroll it and place on a bed frame. Make sure to securely attach it with straps and attach the control unit on the footboard of the bed. It is important to ensure the mattress hose assembly is correctly connected to the control unit. When all of this has been done, a patient can be placed on the mattress or overlay. The control unit should then be plugged into socket via hospital power grade cord. After this has been done, follow instructions in the supplied manual to ensure the system is correctly adjusted and used.
If the CPR connector needs to quickly deflated, disconnect the mattress hose connecter from the control unit. The mattress will rapidly deflate so an emergency procedure can be performed. This CPR valve is at the foot end of the mattress, and is labeled with a bright-red background and white letters.
All components of the mattress system are detachable, which makes them easy to clean and sanitize. When not in use, the mattress simply rolls up and can be carried via two handles or shoulder straps.
There are four system options. Be sure to choose the one that best suits your patient's needs.
