The Invacare Tracer SX5 Wheelchair has a lightweight frame made of carbon steel that weighs less than 36 lbs., making it ideal for rentals and for short- to long-term use. A dual-axle base enables adjustments to make to the back height as well as the seat-to-floor height. The The Invacare Tracer SX5 Wheelchair is available in several models with different seat widths and with desk-length or full-length armrests. The 20" and 22" widths include a semi-pneumatic caster to accommodate a weight capacity of 300 lb. Combining the design and technology of the Invacare® 9000 series wheelchairs makes it possible to interchange components with the Tracer SX5 wheelchair.

Answer: They are removable with tools and they will save you an inch of space.

What is the overall width of this wheelchair?

Answer: For overall width of this wheelchair, you would add 8 3/4" to the width of the seat, so for example if the seat is 20" wide, the overall width of the wheelchair would be 28 3/4".

Does this wheelchair come fully assembled?

Answer: This item comes mostly assembled. If elevating or swing away leg rests are chosen, those will need to be added by the user.

What is the height from floor to seat?

Answer: 19 1/2 is the height of the stock seat. It can be adjusted to 17 1/2 inches

Grandson thinks it’s awesome! He has osteogenesis imperfecta ( brittle bone disease) a genetic disorder and needs a wheelchair because of his breaks. It beats the traditional wheelchair and is considerable a lighter weight to transport.
