Wheelchair Anti-Rollback System for Tracer EX2 or SX5, which installs with basic tools in approximately 20 minutes, is an alternate model of the Wheelchair Anti-Rollback. Specifically designed for all widths of Invacare's Tracer EX2 and the Invacare Non-Reclining SX5 wheelchair, the wheelchair accessory requires less adjustability. This model costs less to manufacture, so it costs less.
When the user attempts to stand or sit, the anti-tipping unit prevents the wheelchair from rolling back. As soon as the occupant lifts their weight from the seat, the brake arm grabs the tires and prevents rearward movement. When the user is safely seated, the unit is in standby mode and the wheelchair operates normally. A conveniently located override handle directly below the handgrip makes moving the unoccupied chair easy.
Discreetly designed to integrate with the wheelchair, the Wheelchair Anti-Rollback System for Tracer EX2 or SX5 device does not get in the way when collapsing the chair for transport or storage.
