The Thomashilfen ThevoTwist Special Needs Stroller contains moving spring 'wings' that adapt to the body's curvature, individually connected to the inner framework of suspension (see diagram below). Micro-Stimulation is designed to support the development of spatial awareness. These flexible spring wing suspensions activate and support the individual movement of the child to improve cognitive and emotional development.
The basic principle of the Twist perception seat is to give the child a sensory impulse/input with the help of these MiS wing suspensions. The system absorbs the slightest movement of the body and returns it to the body through Micro-Stimulation.
The Balance Safety System moves the seating over the wheels when reclined, to shift the center of gravity and create a more difficult to tip over the stroller. All of the positioning accessories move with the seat and do not need to be readjusted. The sturdy upholstery is both washable and ventilated for better air circulation, and is easy to remove. By wicking away heat and moisture, the user remains cooler. The various supports such as the articulated footrest are all adjustable for growth and comfort. The solid seat promotes stable posture while remaining comfortable.
The aluminum frame is lightweight and folds for storage or transport readily. The integrated seat and back recline and adjust for growth also. ThevoTwist reclines from 90 degrees to 145 degrees. The back reclines using a gas spring mechanism and you can set it at any angle you prefer. The tilt-in-space operates from a lever at the top of the pushing bar allowing you to tilt the seat from -10 degrees to +31 degrees. The seat reverses for direct eye contact with your child while strolling. ThevoTwist folds with or without the seat on, so you get to choose how you want to load it into the car or van.
