The Matrx PB Heavy Duty Back is ideal for individuals with moderate to high lateral trunk positioning needs. The wheelchair cushion features a durable, aluminum back shell for support and HR polyurethane foam for maximum comfort and protection that helps extend the lifetime of this product to serve your needs for years. The molded foam wraps around the back shell via hook and loop strips for easy replacement.

The back shell is durable and lightweight and includes a built-in plate for the headrest attachment. Heavy duty sizes (20" wide and up) include an aluminum back shell. An optional Visco Foam upgrade is available that is made of laminate of .5" high resilient foam and .625" Visco Foam. The removable lumbosacral support is easily adjustable to meet individual needs. The Foam-in-place kit is an individually molded insert produced in minutes with the user seated in the back. An optional high stretch cover is also available as well as an optional privacy flap. It has a moisture-resistant, breathable outer cover, a depth adjustment of 4", rotation, and a 40-degree angle adjustment.

This cushion is highly durable and can support up to an impressive 500 lbs. in weight without causing any kind of damage to the cushion itself. Despite its high weight capacity, this cushion itself is very lightweight, only weighing 6.2 lbs, making it easy to move around and use for multiple seats for continued relief.
