The Acta-Back Wheelchair Seat Back System is designed to provide firm, customized support for the unique body shape and needs of each user. The patented aluminum stays are uniquely moldable, conforming perfectly to your back shape to provide individualized second-skin comfort and support. This design also provides pelvic and scapular relief to ensure your sitting time is as effortless and pain free as possible.
The Acta-Back System is designed to be just as simple and convenient to use as it is comfortable and supportive. The lightweight aluminum shell comes standard with head support holes and lateral hardware holes for easy installation and customization over time. Compass Hardware allows for exact adjustments without the hassle of transferring the patient or the risk of losing seat depth with angle adjustments. Fits 3/4", 7/8", and 1" tubing.
This wheelchair seat back system is available with two fabric options: The Stretch-Air or the Comfort-Tek. The Stretch-Air is designed for air transmission and heat reduction. This two-ply, breathable laminate combines a high-stretch lycra top layer, a layer of reticulating foam, and a waterproof, breathable vapor barrier for maximum temperature regulation. The Comfort-Tek has been engineered for maximum pressure relief with fluid resistance. Comfort-Tek's multi-dimensional stretch alleviates pressure on bony prominences, while the fluid-proof fabric can easily be cleaned with detergent for better hygiene.
