This pre-designed kit simplifies purchasing a ceiling lift. This kit includes a free-standing track, your choice of ceiling lift, and all the installation parts. See the graph below for a detailed list of what each kit includes. Free-standing tracks provide a solution for people who need a temporary track or for those who cannot install a permanent track. This free-standing track is normally placed over a bed and is used to transfer a person from their bed to a wheelchair. It is 10-feet long and can be used with a portable or fixed ceiling lift.

A free-standing track is a great solution for a variety of situations, as it easily accommodates individuals residing in rental homes and assisted living facilities, or those who only need a track temporarily. It is also ideal for homes with high ceilings that cannot support a permanent overhead track.

This free-standing track is portable and can be moved from room to room. It can be used with a portable or fixed ceiling lift. The track comes in 5 separate pieces, and is assembled using 3 different Allen wrenches. You will need a 3/4", 5/16", and 7/32" Allen wrench. It is recommended that two people assemble the track and assembly takes about 10 minutes.

GoLift also has a variety of slings that can be used with these lifts.

*Note: The kit with the fixed ceiling lift includes a continuous charge strip. The charge strip is located inside the track, and allows the ceiling lift to charge while on the track. This option is only available for the fixed ceiling lift because the actual lift must come in contact with the track. This option is not available for the portable ceiling lift because the portable ceiling lift connects to the track by a clip.

If I am using this track in one of the rooms in my house, but want to use it in another, can I take the track apart easily and assemble it in my other room?

Answer: Yes, this is one of the great benefits of having a free-standing track. You can move it anywhere that it will fit. The free-standing track consists of 5 separate pieces that can be disassembled and reassembled in 15-30 minutes.

Do these kits include everything that you need to use the lift system?

Answer: This kit includes everything you need it to use the system besides a sling. Slings are very unique and different individuals will want to have their specific choice of sling depending on their circumstance, thus they can be purchased separately here.

Why would I want a free-standing track versus an installed track system?

Answer: The free-standing track system is very useful for individuals who do not wish to spend the money or time installing a track. This is very useful for people who are renting, for assisted living homes or people who have very high ceilings.
