Drop Arm Clinical Recliner

The Drop Arm Clinical Recliner is designed to make the care, treatment, and recovery of patients easier for the caregivers and more comfortable for the patients. The recliner can be used in a variety of medical situations; examples include but are not limited to dialysis, oncology, drug delivery, same day surgery, and post-operative recovery, making them the perfect chair for hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers. The chair features an innovative drop-arm feature that makes lateral transfers safer and easier. Attached to the side is a durable, high-impact table that sits flush with the chair and can be moved in front of the patient for a convenient surface. The table surface is smooth with tapered edges that make cleaning easy. The seat has a wide, contoured seat and back as well as an integrated footrest for additional comfort. The armrests are padded for extra support and have wall-saver caps to increase the durability of the armrests as well as protect the walls from accidental bumps. For mobility, the Drop Arm Clinical Recliner has four TENTE swivel casters. Three casters have a locking feature to secure the chair in place when desired. There is also a directional wheel lock to keep the chair in a straight line while being transported.

The recliner is able to achieve three different positions for comfort as well as a Trendelenburg (or shock position) for therapeutic uses. The first position is upright and is ideal for transporting the patient. This position can also be used to administer treatment or therapy. The second position is referred to as the First Recline Position, also known as the TV position. This position is great for a relaxing patient treatment experience, rest, and reading. The chair is also able to reach the Second Recline Position which is perfect for patient treatment, rest, and reading. The difference between the first and second recline is about 30 degrees. The Trendelenburg position can only be achieved by a caregiver on either side of the chair. The Drop Arm Clinical Recliner is available with Heat and Massage options and can support up to 350 pounds when evenly distributed.
