The Silent Call Medallion Series Doorbell Transmitter with Button is ideal for those living with hearing impairments or those that are hard of hearing. This unit can be installed to any house, apartment, dorm, condo, hotel, or any other living facility. The Doorbell Transmitter can only be used with other products in the Silent Call Medallion Series so the frequencies can properly communicate with each other. Each assistive doorbell comes with two AA batteries and a Velcro strap to secure the transmitter to the wall.
This replaces your existing doorbell without creating any major structural modifications. Since the distance between the two screw holes is the same as most common US doorbells, you should be able to use the existing mounting hardware as well. The transmitter has a 500-foot signal distance. If there are thick walls between it and the receiver then the signal might be weakened.
A large red LED light will illuminate the faade of the transmitter when the doorbell button is pressed. It will then immediately send a signal over to any Silent Call Medallion Series receiver. When the battery is low on power, a small yellow light will glow on the front of the transmitter device. The batteries should provide you with reliable alerts for about over a year. There is a full 5-year warranty.
