The Loud Telephone Ringer Light Box by Maxi-Aids is a visual and auditory assisting device designed to help people with hearing impairments, and people who are deaf stay alerted when they have incoming phone calls on their landline phone system. This device is equipped with both a visual and an auditory alert system that helps to keep users alert.
The connection for this device is simple with two inputs for cables on the back of the device that allow for both a phone input and the incoming landline cable. The cables are easy to connect to this device and once they are attached they snap into place so that they won't fall out due to accidental bumps or when moving the device short distances. The cables can also be easily removed from the back as the device has a slot for the quick-release lever that comes with most phone cables.
The visual alert aspect of this device comes from the bright neon lights attached to the top of this device. Whenever the device detects that there is an incoming phone call to the connected phone, the neon lights will begin to flash intensely, at a safe rate to avoid any potential epileptic side effects, and will continue to flash until either the call rings all the way through, or the call is answered. The auditory alert system features multiple selectable loud ringtones and a volume switch that determines the overall volume of the ringer.
