It provides the same benefits as serial casting, allowing for progressive extension of the elbow in 10-degree increments (using the incorporated goniometer) while remaining comfortable, adjustable, and removable. The Comfy Splints Pediatric Goniometer Elbow Orthosis may only be returned, unused, within thirty days.

The Comfy Splints Pediatric Goniometer Elbow Orthosis should only be used for non-fixed contractures (contractures that still allow movement of the joint). Elbow joint contractures are classified below:

5-30 degrees = mild contracture
30-90 degrees = moderate contracture
90 degrees plus = severe contracture

Graduated extension of the elbow

Treatment of non-fixed contractures of the elbow

Helps restrict arthritic changes and deformity related to neuromascular impairment

Positions the flaccid elbow and arm in functional position

Maintains skin integrity by absorbing moisture, allowing air circulation and preventing skin maceration on upper arm and forearm
