The Comfy Splints Goniometer Elbow Hand Roll Combo should only be used for patients with non-fixed contractures (contracted joints that can still be flexed or extended). Contractures are classified in the following way:
5-30 degrees = mild contracture
30-90 degrees = moderate contracture
90 degrees plus = severe contracture
Each of the terrycloth covers has a soft foam lining that adds padding, relieving pressure and preventing the frame from damaging skin.
