Anti-Scissoring Bar for LiteGait Gait Trainers

The Anti-Scissoring Bar for LiteGait Gait Trainers is a tool created to assist people who have issues with normal walking patterns. The design prevents the patient's lower limbs from crossing over one another while operating a LiteGait Trainer in order to encourage a more normal walking pattern. The Anti-Scissoring Bar does not build muscle or promote adductor strengthening, it is specifically designed just to help correct walking patterns and prevent scissoring.

The bar attaches to the post on the trainer and drops down to the bottom of the trainer in order to separate the user's feet. The bar can be moved up and down on the mid-section to work with a wide range of heights for different users. The bar is strategically positioned to gently guide the user's legs into a more natural, aligned walking pattern. While it restricts the inward movement of the legs, it does not completely inhibit mobility. Instead, it works to retrain the muscles and nerves to adopt a more efficient and safer gait.

The Anti Scissoring Bar has an adjustable padded barrier on it as well. The padded barrier encourages a normal walking pattern while also helping to avoid painful damage caused by bumping the user's leg into the bar.

The Anti-Scissoring Bar is designed for comfort and to help train the user to walk in a normal pattern while also avoiding painfully contorting the way that the legs move.
