Invacare's 9000 SL Wheelchair is a wheelchair focused on patient comfort and lightweight transportation. The lightweight nature of the wheelchair is among its most valuable features. Weighing just 40.7 pounds, the wheelchair is especially easy to move for patients and/or caregivers. This lightweight nature is particularly useful in helping to prevent injury or strain to patients or caregivers that can be caused by exertion in moving patients in heavier wheelchairs.
Accompanying its lightweight design, the 9000 SL features space-saver arms that reduce the overall frame width for the wheelchair. These arms are set just inside the width of the wheelchair's wheels, which ensures that the chair can fit through most doorways comfortably and without the arm rests catching the edges of a doorframe.
The 9000 SL wheelchair also features and adjustable seat depth, which helps to ensure the patient is always set at a height that is most comfortable and safe for transport. The wheelchair's seat can be adjusted in one-inch increments between 16 inches to 18 inches in height. Joining this, the chair's "no flex" wheel design actively maintains the wheel position to prevent any inward angling or lean.
