The Wallaby Pediatric Folding Transit Wheelchair is designed to bring your child the ultimate combination of comfort, freedom, and safety. Weighing in at just under 40 pounds, the durable frame is easy for little arms to maneuver, and is more flexible around corners and in tight places. It's available in both firetruck red and jet blue colors to suit your child's preference and eliminate the unappealing, clinical feel of plain black wheelchairs. The entire frame also folds in half to fit in the passenger seat or trunk of most standard cars so your child can bring freedom of mobility with them wherever they go; this foldability also makes the chair convenient to store when not in use as it takes up minimal space.

Both desk-height armrests and the height-adjustable footrests flip up out of the way to make it easier for children to transition into and out of their chair without obstruction, and thick padding on the armrests ensure users have a comfortable place to lean on. This ease of use can also be used to expand the chair's compatibility with a variety of activities and routines, including changing clothes and eating. Height-adjustable push handles allow parents and guardians to more comfortably propel their child as well as ensure a higher degree of control over direction and speed. Users will also appreciate the calf strap and pelvic belt, both of which encourage proper posture and help keep children securely in their seat.

Two seat sizes are available at twelve inches and fourteen inches. Standard features include standard transit brackets, padded flip up desk arms, swing away footrests, calf strap, pelvic belt, and adjustable height push handles.

The tie-down transit brackets are standard for WC19 bus transit compliant standards, making this wheelchair transitional; and *for users weighing 50 - 80 pounds, this compliancy requires the headrest extension. WC19 is a standard set of the Section 19 of American National Standards Institute/ Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (ANSI/RESNA) Wheelchair Standards/ Volume 1, Wheelchairs Used as Seats in Motor Vehicles. It is designed to ensure the safety of the occupant in a wheelchair being utilized as a seat in a motor vehicle.
