While this is still a manual wheelchair that can be self-propelled or pushed from behind, many people enjoy using their feet to propel the Viper Pediatric Wheelchair. The Viper is ideal for children and teenagers who prefer using their feet or a combination of hands and feet to propel themselves. The Viper has dual-axle capabilities that allow you to lower the height from standard to hemi-height. The seat to floor distance ranges from 13.5-15.5 inches. Hemi-height is very beneficial for users with upper-body weakness or arm/hand injuries.

The Viper is available in two seat sizes; choose either a 12-inch seat or a 14-inch seat. For either seat size, you can choose to have swing-away footrests or elevating leg rests. The footrests/ leg rests can be removed and adjusted. Read the User Manual, listed above, for instructions on how to remove and adjust.

For all Viper models, the arms are desk-length and they can flip back. Having desk-length arms is especially ideal for children that often sit at a school desk or table.

The Viper Wheelchair has rubber, flat-free rear tires. These tires are mag-style and are long-lasting. They need minimal maintenance and can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Each tire has an aluminum handrim. The Viper has wheel locks to lock the wheelchair in place for stability. Engage both wheel locks before getting in or out of the chair, leaning forward in the chair, or while in an elevator or wheelchair lift. Also, there is an 8-inch brake handle extension that can be purchased separately.
