Winner of the 2020 Germany Red Dot design award, the VeinSight VS500 Near-Infrared Vein Finder digitally superimposes a map of the internal vasculature on the surface of the skin in real-time which increases the efficiency of successful first-attempt venipuncture. The VS500 projects harmless near-infrared light on the surface of the skin which is absorbed by blood but reflects from the other tissues that surround the veins. The Vein Finder catches the reflected light and creates a real-time two-dimensional image superimposed on the targeted region via the latest vein visualization technology and unique digital image processing system. This alleviates a lot of stress for the clinician and patient during standard intravenous procedures that occur every day at doctors' offices, hospitals, or urgent care facilities.
Sizing:
The VeinSight VS500 features three different size options for projection windows: full, 2/3, and 1/2. These different sizes can be switched depending on what is needed of the VS500 depending on the patient.
Color & Brightness:
The brightness on the VS500 can be adjusted by the clinician depending on what is required due to environmental light. A variety of colors (Cyan, White, Red, Blue, Green) can be used to best suit different preferences and complexions.
Fine Mode & Depth Mode:
Fine Mode provides a greatly enhanced image that is helpful when finding smaller and deeper veins. Additionally, Depth Mode shows the depth of veins.
Image Storage & Transfer:
The VS500 allows clinicians to save images of veins and upload them to the computer for further analysis. This feature is extremely helpful and can assist during teaching, academic literature writing, and allows for more in-depth analysis.
Center Line Mode & Distance Sensor
The VS500 enables clinicians to identify the centerline of veins which increases the success rate for venipuncture. A distance sensor will additionally notify the users that the distance is unsuitable for the vein finder to work.
The wavelengths used in the VS500 are harmless and do not generate heat or harmful radiation. No part of the VS500 should ever touch the patient, avoiding the risk of cross-contamination if the clinician follows a proper standard procedure.
Additional Accessories
A variety of stands provide a hands-free experience for clinicians to further improve the success rate of venipuncture. The fixed stand attaches the unit to a desk which helps clinicians administer venipuncture when sitting at a desk. A freestanding mobile stand is available that can be moved around the hospital or doctor's office on its wheels. The Enhancer helps the VS500 locate and identify smaller, deeper veins.
