The Tricycle/Trailer Hitch Combo Unit is available with ONLY the Terrier and TMX tricycles. Therapists are forever searching for treatment activities that can be incorporated into everyday life. Cycling is an activity which can accomplish a variety of therapeutic objectives, such as improving leg strength, balance, fitness and endurance. It is also an activity which can be enjoyed by all age groups and abilities.

With two sizes of Hitch cycles to choose from, parents are provided a two-in-one solution for both cycling independently on a tricycle or becoming part of a team when cycling on the trailer unit while being "hitched" to an adult's bike. Both the Terrier and TMX hitch models can be fitted with our full range of positioning accessories for riders who need extra support. Plus, the frame of both models also folds for easy storage!

The Triaid Tricycle Trailer Hitch Combo Unit comes with an option drive gearing system. The option drive combines features of both a fixed and free wheel gearing system. The gear may be locked into place when a child rides alone. When riding hitched to a parent cycle the option drive allows the parent to adjust the tricycle into free wheel mode. Free Wheel means the child does not have to pedal. Parent cycles are sold separately. Choose between the Terrier or TMX model for your child:

The Terrier is a dual-axle foot propelled tricycle recommended for children ages 4 1/2 to 8 years old. This special needs tricycle is so durable that it is capable of supporting up to 100 lbs. (45 kg). Best of all, easy adjustments can be made for a child's growth in size as well as growth in riding ability. To determine if the Terrier pediatric adaptive tricycle will appropriately fit your child, simply compare the inseam measurement to the Terrier's target range. The inseam range for a child using the Terrier is 16"-21" (42-54.5 cm).

The Triaid TMX Special Needs Tricycle is designed to accommodate larger children, ranging in age from 8 to 12 years old. The TMX has 20" wheels, alloy caliper brake with a parking brake mechanism.
