ToniCross Pediatric Tricycle for Special Needs Children

ToniCross Tricycles are made in France. These special needs tricycles have been specifically designed for children with developmental disabilities from 2 1/2 years of age through adolescence. The stability, ease of peddling, and optional adaptations make these tricycles both workable and fun for a wide range of children with various degrees of disability.

ToniCross Tricycles have a wide base and low center of gravity to aid stability and security. These tricycles are chain driven from a rear wheel which places the foot pedals directly under the seat. This provides leverage points for easier motion compared to other chain drive tricycles. The tricycle chain drive is fixed (pedals rotate as the wheels rotate), not the freewheeling coaster type to enable easier pedalling for those with mobility limitations. Hand brakes allow quick braking and the ability to move the tricycle backward by pedaling backward. Good hand control and moderate strength is necessary for effective braking.

Three sizes of ToniCross Tricycles are available for children from 2 1/2 years to an adolescent. The seat and handlebar height is adjustable, the hand brake fits right or left side, and the front wheel turning radius is limited for safety and secure balance. Accessories are also available to further customize the tricycle.

Note: All of the tricycle accessories are interchangeable between the three different sized tricycles.
