Designed to help relieve discomfort and pain from plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and other foot conditions, the Swede-O Thermal Vent Plantar DR provides stretching of the plantar fascia while sleeping and thermal vent support properties to help reduce inflammation.
A non-elastic strap with a hook-and-loop closure system pulls the ankle into a slight dorsiflexion position that will extend the toes to gently stretch the plantar fascia while also passively stretching the Achilles tendon and calf while the user is sleeping to help alleviate morning discomfort and pain.
The non-slip safety shoe prevents sliding, is less bulky than rigid night splints and the bilateral design will fit the left or right foot equally well. Included is binding tape that is sewn around the edges of the material to provide extra durability and comfort.
The plantar shoe has the unique Thermal Vent that is engineered with MVT2 that is a valuable supportive aid to help rehabilitate injured tissue by providing warmth and heat therapy to the affected area. Heat therapy helps to enhance muscle and tendon pliability and elasticity to make them positively responsive to exercise and therapy.
The soft nylon material thermal lining will wick away moisture and the micro-ventilated breathable membrane will capture and retain the user's natural body heat and use it to help ease pain by increasing healing blood flow to the area. The moist air will escape through the micro-ventilated material to help keep the skin dry and cool. The neoprene material of the plantar DR provides gentle compression and warmth to help reduce painful swelling and promote quicker recovery.
Wearing the thermal vent plantar DR will help prevent soft tissue injury prior to activity, during activity, and after activity. To use the product, the user will insert their foot into the plantar DR and secure the top ankle strap, then slip the elevating strap through the toe loop and pull slightly to provide a comfortable secure fit.
