The Push ortho Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO) is designed to provide stability, support, and control. The unique design lifts the foot in swing phase, assisting with each step, while also promoting foot stability in the stance phase. The open-toe area allows for complete, natural movement of the toes and forefoot while securing firmly to the ankle to control inversion and eversion.
The orthosis is designed to be fitted over the foot and worn under shoes; the streamlined design allows for it to be worn with a variety of shoes, making it easier to wear every day. The orthosis is flexible enough to be comfortable but stiff enough to provide the needed support; it can even be used as a night splint if needed.
The straps and edges of the AFO can be altered by a trained healthcare professional to provide the best possible fit for each patient; it is strongly recommended that patients allow their medical professionals to order and fit the AFO whenever possible, as AFOs once worn or altered in any way cannot be returned.
The entire latex-free AFO can be washed in a washing machine on a gentle, low-temperature cycle, ensuring a hygienic, clean aid that can be worn all day, every day.
