The SofTop Lift-Away Wheelchair Tray gives the upper body extra support through allowing arms and elbows a resting place. Convenient for readers, this tray can be easily removed by lifting away from the arms of your chair. Hook and loop fasteners (shown below) are provided under the tray's surface along with padded armrests.
Wheelchair Trays as a Therapeutic Intervention
Removable Wheelchair Lap Trays are used as therapeutic interventions in helping to achieve proper body position, balance, and alignment. Straps are not needed to keep the tray in place, which allows the tray to be lifted by most patients. With the ability to lift the tray, residents will keep a sense of autonomy. The low pressure surface provides a place to rest sensitive arms and elbows as well. A clear vinyl surface filled with a water-based gel filled with colorful stars covers the Gel-Top Sensory Stimulator Tray's surface. This sensory stimulating gel surface provides both tactile and visual stimulation that calms dementia, Alzheimer's, and diminished-capacity patients.
Armrest Covers
The Armrest Covers can stay on the wheelchair when the tray is not in use. They also serve as a comfortable cushion that protects the resident's arms and elbows.
Easy Care
The durable, vinyl covered tray wipes clean with a damp cloth and spray-type cleanser. The armrest covers may be laundered and dried at temperatures up to 180 degrees F. Do not use bleach.
