Skil-Care Gait Belt Handles come in a quantity of 6, and are simple and effective for everyday use with patients that are able to walk freely, but need additional support at times. Each set of handles is equipped to support up to 250 lbs., so these are an excellent option for many patients that want to walk without assistance, but their caregivers may have stability concerns.

These handles are easy to equip and start using. Instructions as follows:
1. Place two loops handles on each individual gait belt. (The belt should be inserted through the smaller, inside loop, and the larger outside loop is the grip handle.)
2. Continue by securing the gait belt around the patients' waist. Position one of the loops at the center of the patients' back and the other loop at their side. Caregivers that are right-handed should position the side loop at the patients' left side, and left-handed caregivers should position the side loop on the patients' right side. Ideally, the caregivers' dominate hand should be used to hold the loop that is positioned at the patients' back to create the best possible support in case of any accidents or slippage from the patient.
