The Disposable Cannula Cuffless Fenestrated Tracheostomy Tube (DCFN) is for single utilization only and should be disposed afterward. Tracheal care items take care of an individual's tracheal stoma after a tracheostomy procedure. A tracheostomy tube is inserted into the stoma, or hole, and directly into the trachea to help keep the airway open for breathing. A tracheostomy tube typically consists of an inner tube, an inner cannula, an outer tube, an outer cannula, and an obturator.

Disposable Cannula Cuffless Fenestrated Tracheostomy Tube (DCFN) offers convenience of inner cannula disposability, while permitting patient to breathe through upper airway if desired. Disposable Inner Cannula (DIC) is required for use. Smooth, rounded-tip obdurate facilitates insertion. Disposable Decannulation Plug (DDCP) closes the proximal end of the DCFS, DCFN and DFEN to permit breathing through the fenestration and the upper airway. Fenestration is a surgical procedure that medical professionals perform on patients in order to add an opening for less invasive treatments.
