The Rolyan TAP (Tone And Positioning) Splint is designed for the support, health, and protection of the user's forearm, wrist, and hand, as well as to position the thumb in abduction while providing a constant stretch in pronation or supination, helping to reduce tone of the forearm and wrist.
The neoprene glove helps to position the thumb in abduction, and the splint provides a constant low-level stretch in supination or pronation, the movement that enables the forearm and hands to flip the palm either face up or face down. An increased wearing compliance for the user is due to the better distribution of forces from the 2-inch wide and 1/8-inch thick neoprene strap.
The spirit is well constructed and durable with all sewn material and no adhesives, and can be hand washed and air dried. The full hook-and-loop side opening allows the user to easily put on the splint, and the strap can be trimmed for a customized fit. For best sizing, first make a loose fist and measure the circumference of the hand just below the MCPs. Compare the measured circumference to the various sizes offered to find the best fit. Once fitted, the excess strap can be trimmed.
This latex-free sprint is ideal for individuals experiencing orthopedic or neurological symptoms.
