ProxPad Touchless Communication by Proxtalker is mountable for wall use or lightweight enough to pass from user to user in a classroom. The unique ability to recognize pre-recorded words, sentences or sounds through the use of RFID tags enables the user to communicate through the Logan® ProxPAD Choice Maker. By selecting the tag the user wishes to use from a wide variety of prerecorded tags, (and the unlimited number of customizable possibilities) the sound is emitted from the ProxPAD in a clear and human voice. The tag does not have to touch the pad during proximity mode, or if desired, touch mode can require the user to touch the tag to the pad for activation of sounds.
The large and easy to see target area for message activation can also sense a tag being 'swiped' across it. Each tag can hold up to eight seconds of sounds, to correspond with an icon representing the sound/word. Stickers are provided for custom tags, as well as the ability to make your own or affix small objects.
