Proactive Medical's Protekt Aire Geri Chair Alternating Pressure Overlay System is designed to fit any geriatric chair or recliner to provide valuable pressure relief to patients. One of the key features of the overlay system is its easy-to-use design, which comes equipped with 3 adjustable placement straps that make affixing it to a geriatric chair or recliner simple and easy. Once set up, the pump is designed to be conveniently activated, where it can be set at a preset 10-minute alternating pressure cycle. Additionally, the air flow can be set to static to make transferring in and out of the geriatric chair smoother and safer. To ensure that patients and caregivers are always aware of the overlay's status, it is equipped with a low-pressure alarm to warn if the airflow becomes blocked or compromised in any way.

Accompanying the Alternating Pressure Overlay System's easy-to-use design, it also offers features to ensure patient comfort and safety. The top cover of the overlay is made with a stretch nylon material that is fluid-resistant, breathable, and antimicrobial. These features of the cover actively prevent moisture accumulation, heat buildup, and microbial growth, all of which can contribute to pressure sore formation if not addressed.
