The Procare MaxTrax Rom Ankle is intended to increase patient stability following trauma or post-operative procedures by providing them with a wider foot bed. This includes acute ankle sprains, stress fractures of the lower leg, soft tissue injuries (grade II and III sprains), stable fractures and injuries of the foot and ankle, bunionectomies, metatarsal fractures, and Achilles tendon repair.
The Procare MaxTrax Rom Ankle comes is a variety of sizes including pediatric, small, medium, large, and extra large. It is constructed with a one-piece liner design to help prevent the sewn in seams from interfering with critical post-surgical areas. This walking cast is equipped with swiveling D-rings to allow the patient to have the choice of criss-cross or parallel strapping. It has malleable uprights that are designed to breakdown on all standard height walkers to accommodate patients with a shorter tibia and fibula. The ROM (range of motion) hinge is designed to promote the patient with an early range of motion during treatment and the healing process.
The Procare MaxTrax Rom Ankle comes equipped with a rocker sole that is designed to reduce plantar pressures to provide patients with additional comfort. The outer sole is a non-slip, low profile sole that helps to promote a natural gait.
