The Aircast AirSelect Elite Walking Boot is a technologically advanced pneumatic walking boot, designed to put comfort, control, and healing in the hands of the patient. It is specifically designed and clinically proven to help with stable fractures of the lower leg, foot, and ankle, severe ankle sprains, and post-operative use. It comes with a pre-inflated front panel aircell, a custom inflation system, and an enclosed toe area to provide protection from hazards.
The boots semi-rigid shell is trimmed and heat-moldable for a custom fit and better patient compliance. The sleek, open-frame design provides ventilation and maximum patient protection, while the three-strap system disperses pressure evenly and decreases the risk of edema in the affected region.
The boot also features integrated Duplex technology that layers aircells within the shell to provide pulsating compression with each step. The inflation technology permits easy customization, that allows the patient to inflate each aircell separately, to maximize comfort. The overlapping aircells start to fluctuate during the gait process, resulting in a massaging motion that helps drain the swelling up and away from the injured area. This design is proven to reduce edema three times faster, relieve pain, and speed up the healing process.
The AirSelect Elite Walking Boot features Softstrike technology, a patented grid design that puts a matrix of shock-absorbing material in direct contact with the heel, reducing heel loading and preventing impact-related stresses. The low-profile rocker sole enables a normal walking gait, while the toe-off section enhances mobility for the continuation of everyday tasks. The mid-stance section is designed to minimize the difference in hip height and limit knee flexion movement.
