The Procare MaxTrax (tm) Ankle Walker is ideal for the treatment of acute ankle sprains, soft tissue injuries (grade II and III sprains), stress fractures of the lower leg, metatarsal fractures, stable fractures and injuries of the foot and ankle, Achilles tendon repair, bunionectomies, and metatarsal fractures.

The Procare MaxTrax (tm) Ankle Walker comes in a variety of sizes including pediatric through extra-large. It is constructed with a wider foot bed to provide patients with additional stability. This walking cast is equipped with a one-piece liner that is designed to prevent seams from coming to close to critical post-surgical areas. The Procare MaxTrax (tm) Ankle Walker is equipped with D-rings to allow the patient to have the option of parallel or criss-cross strapping. It is constructed with malleable uprights that are designed to breakdown the standard height of walkers to accommodate patients with a shorter tibia and fibula.

The sole of the Procare MaxTrax (tm) Ankle Walker is a rocker design that helps to relieve plantar pressure. It is a low profile non-slip sole that is designed to promote natural gait and absorb shock upon heel strike to improve the patients comfort.
