The PRIME Range of Motion Elbow System is a unique prefabricated Prime® modular elbow system that has been found effective for post-surgical or post-injury indications as well as for indications such as proximal radial/ulnar fractures, olecranon fractures, postoperatively following elbow arthroplasty, and following surgery for Type III elbow injuries.
The lightweight and adjustable range of motion ability of the upper and lower arm modular sections allow interchangeability for various patient size requirements. The standard version orthosis includes an adjustable anodized aluminum lateral joint and a single-axis plastic medial joint to provide the users elbow support and stability. A medial adjustable joint is also available as an option if needed.
The lower modular arm component can be either an ulnar sleeve with no wrist-hand extension or a wrist-hand design, depending on the user's need to limit the rotation at the elbow.
The upper arm component provides a snug and comfortable fit to go with a choice of the two lower are modular options that are lined with 1/8" Aliplast that helps to apply a customized fit. The anodized aluminum lateral joint provides ROM adjustment in 30-degree increments while the plastic medial joint combination provides more positive control than a standardized classic elbow orthosis.
Hook and loop closure straps allow applying and removing the device much easier and quicker for inspecting dressings, wound inspection, and sock changes by a medical professional.
