Product Overview:

The DeRoyal Posterior Leg Splint is ideal for stabilizing injured ankles/legs. The splint promotes proper healing by limiting foot and leg movement. Posterior splints are known for being beneficial in reducing extreme pain, edema, and additional soft-tissue injuries. The splint is made of pre-molded aluminum that creates a supportive brace for the leg or ankle.

Currently, the Posterior Leg Splint is available in both full and short-length options. Both of which are available with or without foam padding on the interior of the splint. The short leg options are suited for injuries such as; ankle fractures, lower leg immobilization, and transverse fractures of the tibia/fibula. More Information

The DeRoyal Posterior Leg Splint is suitable for the stabilization of injured ankles and legs. The splint is able to stabilize the injured areas by reducing the movement and providing adequate support to the injured area. Splints have additional benefits including their abilities to reduce extreme pain, edema, and additional soft-tissue injuries.

The leg splint itself is made of pre-molded aluminum material that is designed to properly provide the essential support needed to promote healing. DeRoyal has additionally made the splint easily accessible by including an open front design.

The Posterior Leg Splint is available in two different length options. The first is the short leg style which is suitable for treating ankle fractures, lower leg immobilization, and transverse fractures of the tibia/fibula. On the other hand, the full leg style is suitable for treating shaft fractures to the femur as well as knee immobilization. Both the short and full leg options are available either with foam or without foam. The optional foam padding provides additional support and protection to the affected area. The foam padding will also reduce the amount of padding the is required to be applied before the splint itself can be applied.

There are many different ways that The Posterior Splints may be applied. This is why we recommend consulting your medical professional for specific splint application instructions. This will ensure the splint is the most effective treatment in properly promoting the healing of your specific injury needs.

What is the difference between Posterior Splint with the foam and without the foam?
Answer: The main difference between the Posterior Splint with foam and without foam lies in the level of comfort and additional support provided:

With Foam: The foam padding adds an extra layer of cushioning, which can enhance comfort and reduce pressure on the injured area. This option is particularly beneficial for individuals who may experience discomfort from the rigid structure of the splint.

Without Foam: This version lacks the additional padding, making it a more basic option. It still provides the necessary stabilization and support but may not be as comfortable for prolonged use.

Both options are designed to stabilize and immobilize the injured area, promoting proper healing by limiting movement.
