The top sheet is also made with urethane-coated nylon. It is highly permeable and low-friction and low-shear producing for additional comfort. The FOAM AIRE K-3oem mattress is constructed with a top layer than is Kevlar-lined, which serves as a fire barrier. This designed also contains the foam cells. All components of the mattress system can be easily detached, sanitized, and washed.
The mattress can be used as a non-powered or powered system. When using as a non-powered system, simply connect the control unit to the mattress and inflate it. After the unit has filled the mattress to the desired pressure, disconnect the hose from the unit and store the unit in a safe, dry area until it is needed. To use the powered option, connect the control unit to the mattress and set it to the appropriate setting.
If an emergency CPR procedure needs to be performed, simply detach the control unit from the mattress via the quick-release buttons and the DEFLATE valve. There is also the option to remove select air cushions from directly under the chest.
There are five different options available. These options have various dimension sizes, so be sure to choose the one that will best accommodate a patient's needs.
